Spring? Yes, spring.

Spring never fails to remind me why my favorite color is green. After two days of darkness and relentless rainstorms, which I must admit I do love, tonight was a calm spring evening. Everything is so beautiful and it felt like a summer mountain morning. As I stepped out onto my back porch to feed the animals I was stunned by the beauty. The sun's rays where gleaming through our neighbors tree branches, everything in its reach was lit up with a golden glow. You couldn't hear the hustle and bustle of cars on Bangerter Highway, but in its place the soft breeze rolling through the branches of trees just starting to bloom, and birds talking to each other. It was peaceful.

(These are blossoms from out peach tree. Pretty,eh?)

(blossoms from our... fruit tree , to which I forgot the name)

Something I love about going outside after a rainstorm is the fact that you can go out all clean and prim and when you come inside you are covered in mud, without trying! Boo-ya! I love gettin' in the mud. After being outside this evening for less than fifteen minutes and with help from one very energetic dog, Zip, I was covered in mud. I had hay in my hair from feeding the mules ( not to mention in all my pockets, how does that work?), water drenched pants from getting distracted while filling the trough, muddy dog prints from my ankles to my chest and mud and drool covered hands from throwing one badly mutilated Frisbee. Uh, I love spring, enough said! :)

If anyone is interested today I took a test on invasive weeds in Utah, and regret to tell you mom and dad (on the slim chance that you read this) that you have both Hoary Cress and Perennial Pepper Weed growing in your yard! Yikes! But have no fear; I know how to get rid of them... maybe.

Mi casa  :)
