Watch out 2011, here we come!

Well folks it is 2011, a time for resolutions, new beginnings, the start of a new diet and run on the treadmill. Every year starts with a certain amount of renewed ambition. Isn’t this “I can” attitude a nice feeling?  So here are a few of my resolutions…

Surprisingly, life in Davis 303 isn’t what most would expect a freshman dorm to be. My roommates are painfully shy and though we have a blast together we don’t get much interaction from the “outside world”. In short, I have lived in this building for six months now and I don’t even know my neighbors. No good, I know. So this New Year, I will not sit in my apartment with my roommates every Friday night watching movies and being a recluse.

Would it be so bold as to say that I will actually update my blog? I have in the past stood firm to my resolutions to write things here and have failed. More than once. Though I may be stating a saddening truth about the little amount of ambition I have when it comes to actually sitting here and writing out my life’s story, I am going to try and do it. How much can I commit? Hmm… I will say that at least once a month I will post here.  (Wish me luck!)

Now for the resolution I am sure most woman make every year. I will lose weight. There is really no question here. I can no longer put off a nice jog around the block. Attempting to run in Logan at the moment proves to be rather difficult. The sidewalks are either covered in a fresh layer of sticky snow or extremely slippery with a bumpy layer of uneven ice, but I shall prevail!

Read at least ten books

Go on an epic road trip. I want to roll down the windows, turn up the music and let the road take me where it may while the wind blows through my hair. I want adventure.

Attend at least three concerts. I don’t care if it is on someone’s garage; I want to experience the music.
I want to sketch again. I need to re learn how to draw. Ink to paper, my way.

There are more goals but, some are too personal to share and others so lame that I would hate to bore you with my adolescence.  Have you thought about what you will do with your new found attitude of “I can”?

Watch out 2011 here we come!

Love and Rockets,
Sarah
